BURLINGTON, Vt. – Army's JJ Cataldo earned his second shutout in his last three starts making 22 saves in a 3-0 win over Vermont in non-conference action from Gutterson Fieldhouse Saturday night.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The two clubs played a scoreless opening twenty minutes. Army's JJ Cataldo made a couple of key saves on Vermont odd man rushes in the first period. Cataldo had seven stops.
- Army's Vincent Salice opened the scoring with 57 seconds left in the second period on a breakaway. Jack Ivey forced a turnover and fed it up to Salice who had a step on the UVM defense. Salice waited for Aiden Wright to make a move and roofed it bar down from right in front.
- Ben Ivey doubled the Black Knights advantage at the 11:59 mark of the second period. On a three-on-three rush Ivey one-timed a feed from Nils Forselius past Wright for his seventh goal of the season.
- Jack Ivey put the game out of reach with an insurance marker with 4:25 to play in regulation.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- The Catamounts held the Black Knights to three shots on goal in the first period, they lowest total by a UVM opponent in the opening frame this season.
- Caeden Herrington, Blake Steenerson and Thomas Sinclair were tied for the team lead with three shots on goal Saturday.
