Men’s Basketball Starts Conference Play on the Road Against New Hampshire

 
BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont (7-8) starts its America East conference schedule with a road matchup against New Hampshire (2-13) on Saturday afternoon. Action from Durham, NH will tip off at 1 p.m. ET and it will be on ESPN+.  

BROADCAST INFORMATION
The non-conference clash will broadcast live on ESPN+  . Fans can listen to the game for free on the Vermont Sports Network, from Learfield on The Game, which will air on 97.1 FM in Burlington, 105.9 FM in Plattsburgh, and 960 AM around the rest of the region. The radio broadcast is also available via the Varsity Network App with Brian McLaughlin on the call.

VERMONT OUTLOOK
  • The Catamounts are coming off a 121-37 win against Elms College. This was the largest single-game point differential win in UVM Men's Basketball history.
  • Vermont's 121 total points scored is the most points scored in a single game since November 14, 2018, when the Catamounts defeated NVU-Lyndon 122-56.
  • Seven different Catamounts earned double-digit scoring against Elms.
  • Ileri Ayo-Faleye had a team-high 19 points for the Catamounts on Monday night.
  • TJ Hurley leads UVM in scoring averaging 14.5 points per game.
  • Catamounts are ranked 41st in blocks per game (4.9). Ileri Ayo-Faleye ranks 22nd in the country with 2.13 blocks per game.
  • Vermont ranks 75th in the country in free throw percentage. The Catamounts have shot 75.4 percent from the free throw line this season. TJ Hurley ranks 7th in the country and 1st in the America East in free throw percentage. On the year, Hurley has shot 94.3 percent from the line.
  • The Catamounts allow 65.7 points per game, which ranks UVM as the 56th best scoring defense in the country and 1st in the America East. UVM also ranks 86th in defending the three-point line, allowing opponents to shoot 30.4% from three. Vermont has also averaged 14.5 fouls per game, which is the 29th lowest.

  • New Hampshire is 2-13 on the year coming off a 70-112 loss against Iowa on Monday.

  • Junior guard Anthony McComb III leads New Hampshire in scoring, averaging 15.2 points per game. The Bowling Green transfer ranks 3rd in the America East with 82 field goals this season.
