COACH'S QUOTE
"Thought we gripped our sticks a little too tight in the first," said Head Coach
Steve Wiedler. "First one is a blind puck from behind the net. Second one is a penalty 200 feet from our net and then we cleared a puck into ourselves. Self-inflicted wounds and penalties are a bad recipe against BU."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ryan Greene opened the scoring for the Terriers 7:05 into the first period with a fortuitous bounce. Greene won a puck battle behind the net and his centering feed deflected off UVM's Axel Mangbo and in to make it 1-0.
- The Catamounts pressed for the equalizer. Over the next 45 seconds Boston University's Mathieu Caron made four stops, two each on Simon Jellus and Isak Walther to keep it scoreless.
- The 2025 World Juniors leading scorer Cole Hutson struck twice in the first period to stretch the BU lead to 3-0. At the 10:11 mark of the first he scored seconds after a UVM penalty expired and then with 40 seconds left in the opening frame he picked up a power play goal.
- Jack Harvey scored 26 seconds into the second period to extend the Boston University lead to four.
- Moments after the Harvey tally Caron stopped UVM's leading scorer Colin Kessler on a breakaway.
- Devin Kaplan made it a 5-0 lead with 4:28 to play in the second period with his fifth goal of the season.
- Axel Mangbo made 18 saves through 40 minutes for Vermont, Connor MacKenzie made his second appearance of the season making four saves in the third period for UVM.
- Jack Hughes scored on the power play 1:21 into the third period to close out the scoring for the Terriers.
- Jax Wismer got the Catamounts on the board with his second goal of the season 7:49 into the final frame. From the corner Will Zapernick passed out to Wismer at the point, and he beat Caron with a well-placed wrist shot. Massimo Lombardi earned the secondary assist on the play.
