BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont (2-1-2) begins a four-game home stand Saturday as they host Fairfield (0-5-0) at 6 p.m. ET from the Virtue Field. The action from Burlington will be broadcast live on
ESPN+ with Brian McLaughlin on the call.
Saturday is Military Appreciation Night presented by Milton CAT. All active and retired military members can receive a complimentary ticket to this game upon arrival with a valid form of military ID.

INSIDE THE MATCHUP
- The Stags are winless this season and are looking for their first win Saturday night. Fairfield's trip to Vermont is the second game of a four-game road trip for the Stags.
- Although Fairfield hasn't been on the winning side yet, they have scored eight goals in their last four games.
- Graduate forward Thomas Drillien and first year forward Devin Zachry are tied for the team lead in scoring with two goals apiece. Drillien leads Fairfield in scoring with five points.
- Last season Drillien led Fairfield with 32 shots, including 15 on net. He was selected to the All-MAAC Preseason Team.
- The Stags were picked to finish seventh in the MAAC Preseason Poll.
- Vermont is 1-1-0 against Fairfield in program history. UVM topped the Stags 5-1 in 1994 in Durham, NH in the teams' first-ever meeting. Fairfield won the last meeting besting the Catamounts 1-0 in Oneonta, NY in 1998.
CATAMOUNTS FIND THE OFFENSE IN LEHIGH VALLEY
- Vermont scored a season-high three goals Tuesday night at Lehigh in a 3-2 decision. Yaniv Bazini, Max Murray and Andrew Millar found the back of the net for the Catamounts.
- Since 2021 the Catamounts are 17-0-0 when scoring three or more goals.
- Bazini leads Vermont in scoring with three goals and two assists for eight points this season. Dating back to last season Bazini has seven goals in his last nine games.
PRESEASON HONORS
- Vermont was selected as the preseason favorite by America East head coaches for the first time since 2008. The Catamounts picked up five of seven possible first-place votes and scored a total of 47 points in the poll.
- Yaniv Bazini, Max Murray, Adrian Schulze Solano, Sydney Wathuta, Zach Barrett, and Nick Lockermann took up six of a possible 11 spots on the America East Preseason All-Conference Team.
- Bazini was one of 16 NCAA Division I players named to the Hermann Trophy Watch List. The award is presented at the end of the season to the nation's top collegiate player.
