COACH'S QUOTE
"Great to win on the road again," said Head Coach
Rob Dow. "Several young players had big roles today and earned a lot of experience: Bultman, Zellefrow, Tsang etc. Lots to learn from but excited to get back at home on Saturday."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the 12th minute Bazini opened the scoring for the Catamounts. Ryan Zellefrow fought off two Lehigh defenders as he entered the 18-yard box and fed a cross to Bazini who tapped it home for his third goal of the season.
- Just six minutes later Bazini helped setup another Vermont tally. Sydney Wathuta played another ball in the box to Bazini. Lehigh's Blake Koski made an initial save on Bazini but he quickly poked the ball back to Andrew Millar who pounded home his first goal of the season.
- Early in the second half the Mountain Hawks cut the lead in half after earning a penalty kick in the 51st minute. On the PK Vermont's Lou Liedtka dove to his left but Lehigh's Perry Kingson shot to his right for his first goal of the year.
- The Catamounts reestablished their two-goal advantage off a corner kick in the 63rd minute. Wathuta delivered the corner kick to the near post and Murray headed home the eventual winner above two Lehigh defenders.
- In the 76th minute the Mountain Hawks scored their first goal of the season from open play. In transition Yusef Gueye found the back of the net with a shot just inside the post.
- Lehigh was awarded a corner kick with just 16 seconds left. The cross came to Lehigh's Sam Davis who headed it right on goal, but Bazini was there for the goal line clearance to secure the win.Â
