COACH'S QUOTE
"It was another game where we weren't able to put 60 good minutes together and that continues to cost us," Head CoachÂ
Jim Plumer said. "I liked our first and third periods but the second cost us the game. All that said we are excited for the challenge that UConn brings tomorrow and look to finish the weekend on the right foot."

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Catamounts struck first 8:10 into the opening period after Lily Humphrey scored her fifth goal of the season. Humphrey received the breakout pass from Bella Parento in Vermont's zone, where she skated the length of the ice, swerving through the neutral zone and getting herself in position to rip a shot glove side high past BU's goalie once she reached the faceoff dot. Vermont took the 1-0 lead. Â
- Boston University responded less than a minute later, 9:07 into the first period after Ani Fitzgerald threw the puck on net, tipping off a Vermont player and squeaking past the goalie to knot the game up at 1-1.
- 0:29 into the second period, the Terriers scored again when Catherine Foulem found Lacey Martin in the slot, tucking the puck short side high over the goalies' blocker, giving BU the 2-1 lead early in the second frame.
- Foulem made it 3-1 Terriers 8:11 into the second frame after batting the puck out of midair like a baseball, scoring on the rebound opportunity off Clara Yuhn's initial shot.
- BU would burry one more goal 7:28 into the third period, ultimately putting the game out of reach for the Catamounts.
