PLAYOFF PICTURE
The Catamounts enter the penultimate weekend of the season in sixth place in Hockey East with 31 points. If they playoffs started today they would travel to face the three-seed Northeastern on Saturday, March 2 in the quarterfinals. However, things are so tight in the league UVM can still finish anywhere from 4-9 in the standings. Friday's matchup looms large with Boston University being a single point behind the Catamounts in seventh place.
Â
In the current playoff format the top six teams (with the top-four hosting) on the women's side receive a bye to the quarterfinals on March 2. The seven-seed hosts the 10-seed and the eight-seed hosts the nine-seed in the Opening Round of the playoffs on Wednesday, February 28.
Â
The Opening Round, Quarterfinals and Semifinals will air exclusively on ESPN+. The Championship game will air on ESPNU on Saturday, March 9 at noon.
