AUBURN, Ala. – Vermont (1-1, 0-0 AE) wrapped up its two-game southern road trip in Auburn, AL, taking on No. 11 Auburn (1-0, 0-0 SEC) on Wednesday night from Neville Arena, dropping their first game of the season as the Tigers extended their home non-conference win streak to 55, the longest active streak in Division one.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tigers jumped out to the opening lead when Chad Baker-Mazara made his layup attempt, but Ileri Ayo-Faleye quickly responded, splashing a step back three-pointer to give the Catamounts their first lead of the game, 3-2, 1:15 into action.
- Ayo-Faleye's two free throws cut into an Auburn 8-2 scoring run, giving the Tigers a 10-5 advantage with 16:16 to go in the first frame.
- For over three minutes, no baskets were scored before Ayo-Faleye made more noise, connecting on his fadeaway midrange shot to bring Vermont within three, 10-7, with 13:08 remaining in the first half.
- Shy Odom interrupted a 9-0 scoring run by Auburn, making his first three pointer of the season, securing his first points in a Vermont uniform as UVM brought the score back within single digits, 19-10, with 10:55 to go in the opening half.
- In the next four minutes, Auburn dialed up a massive 17-5 scoring run, taking a 36-15 lead with 6:39 remaining of play in the first half.
- Noah Barnett and Seth Joba scored consecutive layups for Vermont with less than five minutes remaining, cutting the Tiger advantage to 19-36 with 4:10 left to play in half one.
