COACH'S QUOTE
"Tough result today as St. Lawrence made us pay for some miscues," said Head Coach Jim Plumer. "By and large we competed with the same intensity as last night but simply weren't as sharp as we needed to be. This weekend was a step forward in terms of our ability to compete, but we will need to execute better going forward. We are looking forward to resuming the meat of our Hockey East schedule next weekend."
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• After a scoreless first period, the Saints found the opening goal 54 seconds into the second frame when Anna Segedi buried the rebound off Abby Hustler's shot, earning St. Lawrence the 1-0 advantage.
• At the 14:18 mark of the second period, St. Lawrence doubled the lead on a controversial goal when Hustler sent the puck to the slot from behind the net, finding Aly McLeod, wasting no time slapping the puck in the net with traffic in front, gaining the two-goal cushion, 2-0.
• The Saint's made it 3-0 on the powerplay with 10:53 on the clock in the second frame when Hustler put a shot on net from the point, getting tipped along the way, putting Tori Verbeek in prime position to bury her shot to the blocker side of the goal, earning St. Lawrence a three-goal lead.
• St. Lawrence scored two more goals in the third period, coming out victorious 5-0 from Gutterson Fieldhouse.

 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

• Ashley Kokavec notched a season high and team high five shots on Saturday afternoon.
• Natalie Zarcone and Anna Podein both secured three blocked shots, a game high vs the Saints.
• Evelyne Blais-Savoie won 12 of her 19 faceoffs, earning a 63.2% faceoff win percentage.

 
UP NEXT
Vermont returns to conference play next weekend as they head down to Durham, New Hampshire for a two-game weekend series with UNH. Friday's (Oct. 25) game is set for a 6 p.m. and Saturday's (Oct. 26) game is slated for a 3 p.m. puck drop, both games will be played from Whittemore Center at Key Auto Group Complex. Fridays contest will be broadcast live on ESPN+ while Saturday's matchup will be broadcast live on both NESN and ESPN+.
