BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont (7-3-3, 2-2-0 AE) hits the road for a conference matchup with the UMass Lowell Riverhawks (1-9-2, 0-3-0 AE) on Sunday, Oct. 13, in Lowell, MA at Cushing Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be broadcast live on AmericaEast.TV.

VERMONT OUTLOOK
- The Catamounts have kicked off the month of October starting 2-0 for the second straight season, earning conference wins over NJIT 2-1, and UMBC 3-1.
- Vermont has scored first in 10 of their 13 matches this season, scoring 17 goals in the first half and nine goals in the second half. UVM holds a 7-1-2 season record when notching the first goal of the match. The Catamounts' 26 goals this season ranks first in the America East and 63rd across the entire NCAA.
- UVM's offense continues to be one of the best in the nation, ranking first in the America East in numerous categories, along with being top 100 in the country in multiple categories. The Catamounts are first in the America East in points per game, 80th in the country (5.46 per game), first in scoring offense, 59th in the country (2.00 per game), first in total goals, 63rd in the country (26 total goals), and first in total points, 80th in the country (71 total points).
- Vermont is the only America East school to have four players ranked in the top 10 for assists. Emma Warren has three assists (10), Jill Brody has three assists (9), Kate Bossert has three assists (8), and Bailey Ayer has earned four assists (6) so far this season.
- Brody ranks eighth in the America East in both total shots and shots on goal, earning 31 total shots and pinning 13 on goal.
- Sydney Remington rounds out the top 20 in the shots on goal category, tallying nine thus far.
- Vermont has two of the top three goal scorers in the entire conference. Ayer ranks first in the America East in both total goals and total points, scoring nine total goals and earning four assists for 22 total points. Bossert is third in the America East in goals, scoring six on the season to this point. Bossert is also tied for third in total points, having earned 15 points so far this season.
- Vermont was picked to finish fifth in the America East 2024 Women's Soccer Preseason Coach's Poll.
AYER RECOGNITION
- After her three-point performance vs UMBC on one goal and one assist, Ayer entered the UVM women's soccer record book in numerous categories. Ayer now stands at 14 career assists, good for fifth all-time in UVM women's soccer history.
- Her 22 points this season is tied for 9th best all-time in a single season.
- Ayer's nine goals in a season is tied for 10th best all-time.
BOSSERT RECOGNITION
- Bossert's 5-point performance last week (one assist vs NJIT and two goals vs UMBC) also earned her recognition on the Vermont women's soccer record book in numerous career statistics.
- Bossert was most recently named America East Offensive Player of the Week, earning the honor for the first time this season, second time in her career.
- Bossert now sits at 54 career points, tied for 9th best all-time
- Her 23 career goals are tied for 7th best all time.
- After notching a game-winning goal vs the Retrievers, Bossert stands at six career game-winning goals, tied for 7th best all-time.
SCOUTING THE RIVERHAWKS
- UMass Lowell is coming off a competitive loss to UAlbany, 3-2, during their third conference match of the season. The Riverhawks are 0-5-0 in their last five games and have been outscored 9-4 throughout those matchups.
- UMass Lowell is seeking its first win since their second game of the season when they beat Boston University 1-0 on the road.
- The Riverhawks are led by graduate student forward, Calliste Brookshire, who has tallied one goal and three assists this season for five total points. UMass Lowell also leans on freshman forward, Gaby Eckroth, who leads the team with two goals on the season.
- The Catamounts hold a 3-4-3 all-time record vs UMass Lowell with their most recent victory over the Riverhawks coming last season in a 6-1 dominate win from Virtue Field. Vermont will look to even out the all-time series record on Sunday.
