FINAL SCORE (OT): Providence 4, Vermont 3
BURLINGTON, Vt. – Providence scored the equalizing goal with 32 seconds remaining in the third period before Lindsay Bochna netted the game winning shot just nine seconds into overtime. With the result, Vermont moves to 9-12-1 on the season while Providence advances to 8-14-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Following a scoreless first period, the Catamounts cashed in with the first goal of the game on a power play opportunity. Evelyne Blais-Savoie won the draw sending the puck back to Krista Parkkonen who then fed Natalie Mlynkova standing at the middle of the blue line. After taking a few strides to the middle near the top circles, Mlynkova let loose a quick shot, blocker side, giving the cats the 1-0 lead.
- Providence responded 12:11 into the second frame when Claire Tyo released a shot from the point that was tipped in by Grace Shirley to even the game at one apiece.
- Vermont went back on the power play with 5:30 left of period two. Lily Humphrey dished the puck high to Parkkonen who then ripped a shot towards the net. After an initial block from a Providence defender, Kaylee Lewis located the puck and buried it five-hole on Providence's goaltender, securing her fifth career goal.
- 45 seconds later, Brooke Becker answered for Providence, lacing a shot on net after wheeling around the top of the circle, tying the game 2-2.
- The Catamounts struck back on another power play with under two minutes remaining. Lewis buried her second goal of the game after Evelyne Blais-Savoie connected with Humphrey on a cross ice pass who then took a shot on net. Lewis corralled the rebound and delivered for the Catamounts giving them a 3-2 lead late in the final period.
- The Friars answered with a power play goal of their own with 32 seconds remaining in the third period. Brooke Becker scored her second of the game on a backhanded shot through traffic in front of the net to send the game to overtime.
- Just nine seconds into overtime, Lindsay Bochna skated the puck up the far side boards, entering UVM's zone., she released a rocket of a shot from the faceoff dot, blocker high, hitting back bar, and carrying the Friars to a 4-3 overtime win over the Catamounts.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Lewis recorded her first career multigoal game, putting two in the back of the net for the Catamounts bringing her season total to six goals.
- Simmons tallied 23 saves on the night for Vermont, her second career game with at least 20 saves.
- The Catamounts dominated in the faceoff circle, earning a 62.8%-win percentage.. Blais-Savoie won 11 of her 14 draws followed by Mlynkova who earned 11 of her 19 faceoffs Saturday night.
- Blais-Savoie, Humphrey, and Parkkonen each tallied two assists in the contest.
- With today's 4-3 decision, Community Bank N.A. will donate $225 to Special Olympics Vermont. Community Bank, N.A. donates $75 per goal to Special Olympics Vermont for every goal the men's and women's team scores this season.
