AMONG THE BEST IN THE AMERICA EAST
Kate Bossert has had a hot start to the season registering three goals on 13 shots with seven coming on net. Her three goals scored is tied for second in the America East while her shots taken is fourth and her shots on target ranks fifth. Junior
Bailey Ayer has tallied two assists this season which is good for eighth among America East players. Graduate student
Alyssa Oviedo is tied for ninth with five shots on goal and is eighth with two goals scored.
Erin Murphy has been an anchor in net for Vermont earning two victories and leading the America East in saves per game with 8.5. Her .895 save percentage is third in the conference and her 1.000 goals against average is fifth among America East goalkeepers.
SPREADING THE WEALTH
Vermont has had a balanced attack through four games with four different goal-scorers.Bossert leads Vermont with three goals, including the game-winner at FDU. Bossert has recorded a goal in three straight games for the first time in her career. Ayer leads Vermont with two assists while also adding a goal to her tally. Junior
Maddy Cronin scored her first collegiate goal with the game winner against Merrimack. Oviedo has also registered two goals for the Catamounts. In their last match against Sacred Heart, Oviedo scored her second goal of the season with an 88th minute game-winner. First year

PRESEASON POLLS
The Catamounts, just missed out on the 2022 playoffs, and were selected seventh overall in the 2023 America East Preseason Poll.
The Raiders were also picked to finish seventh in the 2023 Patriot League Preseason Poll, receiving a total of 56 points.
SCOUTING COLGATE
The Raiders enter Sunday's matchup with a 1-3-1 record coming off a 1-0 loss at Dartmouth on Thursday
. Colgate earned a season-opening victory against Canisius and tied Kent State before dropping matches against Buffalo and St. John's. Through five games the Raiders have been outscored 7-5, while holding four of their five opponents to one goal or less. Colgate is led by a pair of sophomores in Ari Bezanson and Ana Schremp who have each scored two goals. Bezanson leads the team with nine total shots and four on target. She also leads the team with one game-winner. Junior Alli Popham has been solid between the pipes for the Raiders starting five games and playing the full 450 minutes. Popham has registered a 1-3-1 record with one shutout and saved 14 shots out of the 49 she has faced. She has posted a .700 save percentage and a 1.20 goals against average.
INSIDE THE SERIES
This will be the 28th matchup all-time between the Raiders and the Catamounts with their last meeting coming in 2019. Colgate earned the victory in that one 2-1 in OT at Virtue Field. There are three members of the Catamounts still on the team in
Karen Wallace and Oviedo who both earned starts in that game and
Frances O'Donnell who came off the bench. Vermont is 5-19-3 overall in their previous 27 games against Colgate. The Raiders own the longest winning streak in the series having won 17 straight dating back to 1996. Before Colgate's current streak Vermont had won four of the previous six matchups from 1990-1995. This will be the first matchup between the two teams in Hamilton, N.Y. since 2014 where Colgate registered a 3-1 win.

Following Sunday's matchup with the Raiders the Catamounts will continue their Patriot League road slate against Holy Cross on Thursday, September 7. The game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. ET and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
