CLINCHING SCENARIO
Vermont can clinch at least a share of the America East Regular Season Title for the seventh-consecutive season on Saturday with a victory over NJIT, and a Binghamton loss at UMass Lowell.
SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERS
NJIT is locked in a battle with Maine for seventh place in the America East standings. The Highlanders own the tiebreaker over the Black Bears, having beaten them twice, including a 65-50 victory on Feb. 11. NJIT has been without leading scorer, Miles Coleman, who was averaging 14.5 points per game prior to a season-ending injury on Jan. 19. Adam Hess (10.4 ppg) and Kevin Osawe (10.0 ppg) have also averaged double figures for the Highlanders.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont and NJIT meet for the 11th time in series history and the seventh time as conference foes. The Catamounts own a 5-1 record over the Highlanders in league play, with wins in four-straight meetings.
Finn Sullivan led UVM to an 85-69 victory on Jan. 22 with a career-high 28 points. Sullivan has averaged 14.3 points, a 52.8% field goal percentage, and a 55.6% three-point percentage in four career games against the Highlanders.
EIGHT-GAME WINNING STREAK
The Catamounts carry an eight-game winning streak into Wednesday's matchup. The winning streak is the sixth-longest active streak in the country. UVM has outscored opponents by 17.1 points per game during that stretch, with wins against each America East school.
