SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
New Hampshire has suffered loss in each of its last two games, including a 66-64 loss to Binghamton on Jan. 8. The Wildcats are currently No. 6 in the America East standings. UNH's defense ranks No. 2 behind the Catamounts, allowing 67.0 points per game in league play. Opponents are shooting 43.3% against the Wildcats, which ranks No. 3. Clarence Daniels is the league's top rebounder, averaging 10.4 boards per game. The forward ranks No. 6 in points per game (15.0) to lead New Hampshire. Nick Johnson also ranks in the league's top 10 in scoring with 13.0 points per game.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont owns a 108-50 all-time record against New Hampshire. The Catamounts are an impressive 58-18 in Burlington, and have won 23-straight meetings at Patrick Gym. New Hampshire handed Vermont one of its two conference losses, winning 67-60 on Jan. 8 in Durham, N.H.
SEVEN-STRAIGHT WINS
The Catamounts have won seven-straight games and can run through the entire conference with a win over UNH on Wednesday. Vermont has outscored opponents by an average of 15.4 points, and have made 51.5% of their field goal attempts.
CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Finn Sullivan was named America East Co-Player of the Week on Monday (Feb. 13). The fifth-year senior averaged 23.0 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.0 block in a 2-0 week. Sullivan recorded his first career double-double against Maine, and scored a team-high 25 points against UMass Lowell.
SULLIVAN DURING THE STREAK
Finn Sullivan has averaged 18.9 points per game during Vermont's seven-game winning streak, which ranks No. 2 in America East during that stretch. He has reached the 20-point mark in four of his last six games. Sullivan has led the Catamounts in scoring in six of the seven wins during the streak.
CLUTCH AT THE LINE
Dylan Penn has gone 8-for-8 from the free throw line in each of his last two games. Penn knocked down eight straight free throws in the final few minutes of Vermont's 74-65 victory at Maine (Feb. 8). He drilled six of his eight made free throws in the final 2:22 of the 93-81 win over UMass Lowell. Penn is 26-for-31 (83.9%) from the line in the second half of America East games this season. His 26 made free throws in the second half rank No. 4 in conference play.
VERETTO's EFFECTIVE FG%
Matt Veretto has the league's top effective field goal percentage (70.9%) during conference play. The graduate student also has a league-best 57.0% field goal percentage, while ranking No. 2 in three-point percentage (44.0%). Veretto has averaged 15.3 points in his last three games.
