COACH'S QUOTE
"Tough loss tonight on the road versus a really good Bradley team," Cioffi Men's Basketball Head Coach John Becker said. "They were the tougher team and used a great home advantage. It's early and we have a long way to go. We will learn from this and continue to get better."

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After back and forth action in the early going Bradley hit back-to-back three-pointers in the span of 33 seconds to take a 22-12 lead with 8:42 to play in the first half.
  • Following a timeout from the Catamounts they went on a run of their own. Over 2:07 of game play Vermont scored the next 10 points capped by a Shamir Bogues steal and dunk to make it 22 all.
  • T.J. Hurley canned a three-pointer to give Vermont a 25-22 edge with 5:17 to play in the half. After starting 0-for-6 from downtown, UVM went 3-for-4 to take the lead.
  • The Braves responded with a 13-2 run over 4:45 including two more three-pointers to lead 35-27. At the buzzer Sam Alamutu tipped in a missed shot to make it 35-29 at the break.
  • Demarion Burch scored six points in an extended 19-4 run for the Braves as they built a 20-point advantage in the second half. Bradley led 67-47 with 4:04 to play in regulation.
  • Hurley and Matt Veretto went off from downtown for Vermont in the closing moments. They hit back-to-back triples in 35 seconds to cut the lead to 14. Then a minute later they did it again 38 seconds apart to make it a 10-point game.
  • Veretto hit another triple with 16 seconds left to cut the Braves lead to eight, but that was as close as Vermont would come.
