After a weekend split, the Catamounts remain at Gutterson Fieldhouse for a two-game series against Maine. Puck drop is set for 6 p.m. Friday and is Kids Eat Free Night presented by McKenzie where the first 100 kids will receive a voucher for a free hot dog. Saturday's faceoff is set for 3 p.m. and is Vermont's Youth Day game presented by Healthy Living. All kids 12 and under will receive free admission to the game. ATTENDANCE RECORD RESET
Vermont broke the Hockey East home attendance record for the second straight year, smashing the previous record of 2,210. A whopping 2,705 fans attended Saturday's Pack the Gut Challenge game presented by the Windjammer against 15th-ranked Boston College.
CATAMOUNTS RANKED AGAINÂ
Throughout the 2023-24 season, the Catamounts have consistently held a top-15 ranking. In the current week, UVM is positioned as the 14th-ranked team in the USCHO and 13
th-ranked team in the USA Today/USA Hockey polls. Â
NATÁLIE MLÝNKOVÁ LEADS HOCKEY EAST
After an impressive showing in Vermont's series against Boston College, Natálie Mlýnková has maintained her stellar performance in conference play. With two goals and four points in the series, Mlýnková's total now stands at seven goals and 11 points in Hockey East play. This achievement places her in a shared position as the top conference scorer and point generator, with the added distinction of leading the conference outright with an impressive 1.57 points per game.
PRECISION PUCKSÂ
With a shooting percentage of 14.4%, Vermont is second among all of Division I. Despite being outshot by 63 shots, the Cats have maximized their opportunities, scoring 34 goals on just 236 shots.Â

CZECH CAPTAIN IS BACK FOR MOREÂ
Senior captain Mlýnková is the top returning scorer in Hockey East this season. She set new career highs in goals (23), assists (19) and points (42) last year.Â

OFFENSIVE TOUCH KEY TO HISTORIC CAMPAIGNSÂ
Vermont scored over 100 goals in each of the last two years for the first time in program history on their way to back-to-back second place finishes in Hockey East with a program record of 22 wins in each campaign. Vermont returns 56.1% of its scoring from a year ago.Â

SCOUTING THE BLACK BEARS
Maine enters the weekend series with a season record of 4-8-0, aiming for a rebound following two losses against the 12th-ranked UConn. Ida Kuoppala and Ann-Frederique Guay, the top two overall scoring leaders in Hockey East, have each notched an impressive 10 goals this season for Maine. Guay was responsible for the lone goal last weekend. Guarding the net for the Black Bears are Jorden Mattison, boasting a noteworthy .913 save percentage, and Julia Bachetti, maintaining a solid .900 save percentage.
SERIES HISTORYÂ
The Catamounts have a 25-28-10 record in the all-time series. Vermont has won the last six meetings in the series between the two teams. Maine's last win over Vermont came on February 28, 2021 a 3-1 win over the Catamounts in the Hockey East Quarterfinals. Mlýnková earned her first career hat trick in Vermont's first contest against the Black Bears last season.
