SENIOR NIGHT PRESENTED BY UVM HEALTH ADVANTAGE
UVM Athletics will honor 10 Catamounts in a pregame ceremony on Senior Night, presented by UVM Health Advantage. In addition to UVM's senior class, the Cats will also recognize Senior Fan of the Game Walt Levering. Seniors aged 62 or older can purchase tickets at the group rate thanks to UVM Health Advantage.

FOOD TRUCK NIGHT
UVM Athletics and UVM Dining will be hosting Food Truck Night on Friday at Virtue Field. Church Street Cheesesteak and Southern Smoke will be present at the matchup between the Catamounts and Great Danes.

TIGHT AMERICA EAST RACE
Six teams are within three points of first place in the America East standings. UMBC sits at the top of the league table so far with 10 points and a 3-1-1 mark. Vermont (3-2) and New Hampshire (2-0-3) are tied for second place at nine points and Bryant (2-1-2) and Binghamton (2-1-2) are tied for fourth place with eight points. NJIT (2-2-1) rounds out the top six with seven points and will face UMBC on Friday in Newark.

CONFERENCE STRENGTH
The recent NCAA RPI Rankings has America East listed as the fifth-toughest conference in Division I men's soccer. America East is one of three conferences, joined by the Sun Belt and ACC, to have three schools in the RPI's Top 20: New Hampshire (6th), Vermont (13th), and Bryant (18th).

SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
UAlbany carries a two-game losing streak into Friday's contest with losses to Colgate (L, 1-0) and Bryant (L, 3-1). The Great Danes have one league win, coming against UMass Lowell (W, 2-0) on Oct. 14. The victory is UAlbany's only win in its last six games. Ander Castillo leads the attack in goals (4) and points (11). Alex Pechacek has a team-high seven assists in 13 games this season. Shafique Wilson has earned the gig as starting goalkeeper in 12 of 15 games this season, posting a 1.42 goals against average and .553 save percentage.

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts and Great Danes meet for the 30th time in series history on Friday night. Vermont has a 12-14-3 mark in the all-time series and are 2-2-1 in the last five meetings. UVM and UAlbany met twice last season resulting in a 0-0 tie in the Empire State, and a 1-0 loss in the America East Semifinals at Virtue Field. Vermont's last win over UAlbany came in the form of a 2-0 win in 2021.
