AMERICA EAST PLAYOFFS
The Catamounts have a chance to make it to the America East Playoffs with a victory on Thursday night but will need some help from around the league. Currently, Vermont sits in seventh place (seven points) just behind Bryant who is in sixth with eight points. If Vermont defeats UAlbany and Bryant loses or ties in their season finale against UMass Lowell, the Catamounts will earn the final playoff spot in the 2023 America East Playoffs.

This will be the 30th matchup all-time between the Great Danes and the Catamounts, with Vermont holding a 15-12-2 advantage. Vermont holds the longest winning streak in the series having won the first seven games in the matchup from 1978 to 2005. During their previous 29 matchups the Catamounts have outscored the Great Danes 53-41 and have scored two or more goals on 13 different occasions. The last time these two teams met was in the regular season finale of 2022 which ended in a 1-1 tie. In that game DeGroot scored on a 76th minute equalizer from
Torie Snyder and
Fiona Doherty. Cotter and Elverum earned an assist for the Great Danes on an early sixth minute goal from Sahara Zingano. The two teams have been evenly matched over the past five contests with both teams holding a 2-2-1 record, but Vermont holds a slight edge outscoring UAlbany 7-6 over those five matchups.
