LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – Riley Halloran's late first-quarter goal gave Vermont (4-1) a lead it would never give back as the Catamounts defeated Siena (2-2) 13-10 on Saturday afternoon at Hickey Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Halloran netted the game's first goal 3:28 into the contest on an assist by Kerry Gerety. The Saints countered with Meghan Decker's fifth goal of the season minutes later. Halloran notched her second of the game with 2:09 left in the first quarter to give Vermont a 2-1 lead through the opening frame.
- McKenzie Ballard and Erin Kloostra struck quickly in the second quarter with a pair of goals in the first two minutes of the frame. Nicole Siew answered for Siena with 11:18 remaining in the half, but the Cats countered with three of the next four goals to take a 7-3 lead. Halloran capped off the Vermont run with her third goal of the contest, coming with 4:33 left in the first half. Grace Dobrzynski added a goal in the final minutes, but UVM remained in front, up 7-4 at the break.
- Meaghan O'Connor opened the scoring 26 seconds in to the second half, but Siena rattled off a pair of goals to cut the deficit to two. O'Connor netted her second goal of the game with 10:17 left in the third quarter to spark a 3-0 Vermont run. Ballard capped off the run with her eighth tally of the season that put the Cats up 11-6 with 8:41 on the clock. Siena would close out the third quarter with three-straight goals to pull back to within a pair.
- The Saints pulled to within one goal for the first time since the early minutes of the second quarter when Logue Siew scored with 9:02 remaining. O'Connor registered her hat trick with 6:06 left in the game to put Vermont up 12-10. Grace Giancola capped off the afternoon with a woman-up goal in the final minutes.

- Halloran and O'Connor each had a game-high four points. Both Catamounts produced three goals and one assist on the afternoon. Halloran scored on all three shots taken. O'Connor's hat trick is the first of her career.
- Ballard (3 goals) and Gerety (2 goals, 1 assist) recorded three-point afternoons for the Cats, and Giancola (1 goal, 1 assist) also registered a multi-point game.
- Dani Paterno and Taylor Mullen also tallied assists.
- Sophie McLaughlin registered five saves in goal for Vermont.
