STARTING FAST THIS SEASON
With the Catamounts 3-0 win over Merrimack on November 18 the Catamounts picked up their 10th win of the season. Vermont reached the 10-win mark in just 16 games setting a new program record. To put that achievement in perspective, in 12 of the Catamounts 21 Division I seasons UVM failed to win 10 or more games during the entire campaign. The four most successful seasons in UVM history in terms of wins have all come under Head Coach
Jim Plumer.

MLYNKOVA ON SCORCHING SCORING STREAK
Junior forward Natálie Mlýnková has been on a tear over the last few weeks, in Vermont's last nine games she has 14 points including six goals and two assists in the Catamounts last six contests. For the first time in her career she is leading the Catamounts in scoring with 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points. With 20 points, she is tied for fifth in Hockey East in scoring and 13th in the NCAA.
Â
McPHERSON BACKSTOPPING THE CATS
Junior goaltender Jessie McPherson is tied for fifth in the NCAA with nine wins this season. She has maintained a 2.04 goals-against average which is 18th in the NCAA. McPherson has 28 wins in her career at Vermont, she is approaching Madison Litchfield's (2013-17) program record of 32.
Â
LONG CHANGE, LONG PERIOD
The Catamounts have been most effective this season during the second period, when both teams have the long change. UVM has outscored its opponents 22-7 in the second and outshot teams 180-101.
Â
OFFENSE AND DEFENSE AMONG NATIONAL LEADERS
With 3.5 goals-per game the Catamounts offense ranks eighth in the NCAA. Vermont has scored five or more goals six times in 16 games this season. Vermont is giving up just 1.9 goals per game which is tied for tenth best in the NCAA.

SCOUTING THE BIG GREEN
Dartmouth is 3-7-0 this season, however all of their wins have come on the road. Last weekend they split a weekend home-and-home with Saint Anselm. Vermont's only common opponent with the Big Green is No. 4 Colgate. On November 12, the Big Green hosted the Raiders and fell 3-2.
Senior forward CC Bowlby leads the team in scoring with three goals and four assists for seven points this season. She is also the team leader in shots with 35. Sophomore goaltender Maggie Emerson has started nine of the Big Green's 10 games this year. She has maintained a 2.57 goals-against average and a .902 save percentage. Emerson made 25 saves in the Dartmouth OT win over the Catamounts last season.
The Dartmouth bench will also have a familiar face to those in Catamount Country. Max Gavin is in his first year as an assistant coach with the team after serving as the Director of Hockey Operations for the men's hockey program at UVM during the 2021-22 campaign.
SERIES HISTORY
The Catamounts are 4-18-0 in the all-time series with the Big Green as the former conference foes play for the 22nd time in the history of the two programs. Vermont squared off regularly with Dartmouth as members of the ECAC from 2001 to 2005. UVM has faced Dartmouth only eig
ht times in head coachÂ
Jim Plumer's tenure, splitting the series 4-4-0. Last season at home the Big Green defeated Vermont 3-2 in overtime on November 9.

CZECH-MATES EARN BRONZE
Vermont forwards Tynka Pátková & Natálie Mlýnková earned bronze medals at the 2022 IIHF Women's World Championships in Denmark in September. Czechia defeated Switzerland 4-2 in the bronze medal game behind two goals from Mlýnková. It was Czechia's first-ever medal on the women's side. Former Catamount Blanka Skodova was also a member of the team.
Â
There were three other current Catamounts in the tournament patrolling the blueline. First year Krista Parkkonen (Finland) made her World Championships debut while Sofie Skott (Denmark) and
