SCOUTING THE RETRIEVERSÂ
UMBC enters Saturday's game on a four-game unbeaten streak, taking down Delaware as well as conference foes UMass Lowell and Bryant. The Retrievers tied Navy 1-1 in their most recent outing on Wednesday (Oct. 19). Ryan Becher leads the UMBC attack, as well as the league in goals (10) and assists (8) through 14 games this season. Taylor Calheira is also a key contributor, tallying seven goals and six assists this season. Goalkeeper Quantrell Jones has started in all 14 contests for the Retrievers this season, posting a .724 save percentage and 1.15 goals against average.

INSIDE THE SERIES
UVM is 11-5-1 all time against UMBC dating back to 2007. Vermont came away with a 2-1 victory in its last meeting with UMBC a season ago at Virtue Field.
Max Murray scored his first collegiate goal in the win. The Catamounts are making their first trip to Baltimore since 2018, when they defeated the Retrievers 3-0.

The Catamounts were ranked No. 10 in the United Soccer Coaches National Poll on Tuesday. The ranking is Vermont's highest national ranking ever, passing the No. 11 ranking that was achieved in 1989.

UVM owns the longest active winning streak in the country with 11 straight victories. The 11-game streak is the second longest in program history. Vermont needs one more win to tie the program record, set by the historic 1989 team with 12 straight wins.

SILVEIRA AND COUTIÑO RECEIVE WEEKLY HONORS
Nate Silveira was named Defensive Player of the Week andÂ
Noe Coutiño was named Rookie of the Week on Monday (Oct. 17) by America East. Silveira earned two clean sheets in the victories, recording four saves against UMass and two saves against NJIT. Coutiño registered his first collegiate point with an assist in the 3-0 victory over UMass.
MIRHASAN NAMED TD BANK STUDENT-ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Mujtaba Mirhasan was named TD Bank Student-Athlete of the Week on Tuesday (Oct. 18). The Computer Science & Info Systems major registered his first career two-goal game Saturday night as the Catamounts defeated NJIT 4-0 for their 10th straight win.
