BURLINGTON, Vt. – No. 12 Vermont (10-1-1, 3-0-0 AE) extended its winning streak to nine games on Tuesday night when it defeated UMass (6-1-6, 1-0-4 A10) 3-0 at Virtue Field. The Catamounts become the third team in program history with nine straight victories.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Yaniv Bazini scored the game's first goal in the ninth minute after the Catamounts weathered an early UMass attack. The UVM forward converted on a rebound for his fourth goal of the season. Garrett Lillie was credited with the assist.
- The offense opened up in the second half, with the Catamounts outshooting the Minutemen 5-2 in the first 15 minutes. Adrian Schulze Solano nearly doubled the Vermont lead in the 57th minute when he rifled a kick off the cross bar from deep outside the 18-yard box.
- UVM did double its lead in the 64th minute on Alex Nagy's fourth goal of the season. Max Murray found Nagy for the late tally.
- Jacob Vitale added an insurance marker for the Catamounts in the 71st minute when he pounced on a Noe Coutiño rebound and fired it past Matt Zambetti (4 saves).

- Nate Silveira recorded four stops to earn his fourth shutout of the season and 18th as a Catamount. The shutout extends Vermont's clean sheet streak to five straight games.
- Nagy's goal extends his points streak to three straight games.
- Coutiño's assist was the first point of his collegiate career.
- The Catamounts finished the game with a 15-4 shot advantage.
- With today's win, Vermont Mutual Insurance Group will donate $100 to COTS, the Committee on Temporary Shelter, as part of the Cats Win, Community Wins initiative. Since the campaigns inauguration in 2017, Vermont Mutual Insurance Group has donated over $72,000 to local non-profits.
