INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont and Hartford meet for the 78th time in series history and the first time since the America East Semifinal Game a season ago at Patrick Gym. The Hawks snapped UVM's five-year run of advancing to the title game, defeating the Catamounts 71-65. Vermont has a 52-25 all-time record against Hartford, including a 27-11 mark in Burlington. The Catamounts have won eight of the last 10 meetings with the Hawks and 17 of the last 20.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS
Hartford plays its second game of conference play after battling COVID-19 issues in early January. The defending America East Champions have won its last two games to snap a three-game losing streak. Preseason All-Conference guard Austin Williams leads the Hawks with 15.3 points per game and 3.5 assists per game. Moses Flowers (13.0 ppg) and Hunter Marks (12.5 ppg) also average double figures. Hartford is also led by Traci Carter, who is averaging 9.3 points and 4.0 assists in in his seventh collegiate season. Carter dropped a game-high 19 points on Wednesday (Jan. 19) in Hartford's 69-57 win over New Hampshire.

4-0 START IN LEAGUE PLAY
The Catamounts have jumped out to a 4-0 start in conference play for the fifth time in their last six seasons. Two of Vermont's wins have come against preseason No. 1 Stony Brook (W, 98-65) and No. 3 New Hampshire (W, 82-68).

CATCHING FIRE IN LEAGUE PLAY
Vermont has averaged 87.3 points per game against America East opponents to start conference play. The Catamounts have won by an average of 22.5 points and have shot 57.6% from the field. UVM has made a league-high 52 threes in conference play, sinking 53.1% of its attempts from long range.

SULLIVAN'S SHOOTING

The senior has had a career-high six treys in each of his last two games, including a perfect 6-for-6 night from beyond the arc at NJIT. Sullivan is the reigning America East Player of the Week.
