SCOUTING THE SEAWOLVES
Stony Brook comes to Burlington with wins in four of its last five games, including an 80-72 victory over Maine to begin conference play. Four Seawolves average double figures, with Anthony Roberts posting a team-high 14.4 points per game and Jahlil Jenkins closely following with 14.2 points per game and a team-high 3.0 assists per game. Tykei Greene (11.4 ppg) and Elijah Olaniyi (10.8 ppg) also average double figures. Jenkins, Roberts, and Olaniyi all transferred into Stony Brook this season. Olaniyi played for SBU from 2017 to 2020, but spent last season with Miami. The Seawolves average the league's third-highest points per game (73.1), but allow the second-highest scoring average (72.8).

PRESEASON NO. 1 & 2
Wednesday night's game features a battle of the league's top two teams in the America East Preseason Poll. Stony Brook was chosen as the league favorite with five first-place votes, snapping Vermont's five-year run as preseason favorites. The Catamounts earned four first-place votes for No. 2 on the poll.

ALL-CONFERENCE MATCHUP
Three members of the America East Preseason All-Conference Team will be competing in Wednesday's Vermont-Stony Brook matchup.
Ryan Davis and
Ben Shungu earned the preseason honor along with SBU's Elijah Olaniyi. Davis and Olaniyi were also named to the Hugh Durham Watch List, which will be awarded to the nation's top mid-major player at the end of the season.

CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Ben Shungu was named America East Co-Player of the Week after his career-high 29 points to open conference play against New Hampshire on Jan. 6. Shungu hit a career-high 11 field goals and four three pointers in the 82-68 victory over the Wildcats.
