VESTAL, N.Y. – Maya Anand's sixth goal of the season came in double overtime as Binghamton (5-4-1. 0-1-0 AE) defeated Vermont (3-4-1, 0-1-0 AE) on Sunday afternoon at Bearcats Sports Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The America East counterparts played over 102 minutes of scoreless soccer. The Catamounts pressured the Bearcats' goal early with two shots in the opening five minutes. Jill Brody tested Haylee Poltorak (5 saves) in the game's first minute.
- Binghamton responded with four unanswered shots, two of which were saved by Lydia Kessel (11 saves). The conference foes exchanged shots later on in the frame. The Bearcats had a 6-4 shot advantage at the break.
- In the second half, Binghamton went on the attack with 11 shots in the first 30 minutes of the scoreless period. The Bearcats had 13 shots in total in the second half. Kessel made eight of her 11 saves to stymie the Bearcats' attack.
- Shots were limited in the first overtime with Binghamton owning a 2-1 shot advantage. Bailey Ayer directed a low shot that was denied by Poltorak.
- In the 103rd minute, Maria Poulos stole the ball at the top of the box and dished a bass to Anand who directed a shot into the lower right corner for the clinching marker.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Brody and Ayer led the UVM attack with two shots each. Both of Brody's shots were directed on goal to lead the Catamounts.
- Ella Bankert and Alexa Mihale were also credited with shots.
- Kessel's 11-save total is her highest of the season.
