OFFENSE IN DROVES
In Vermont's last six games they've scored 24 goals an average of four goals per game. In three of the six they matched a season-high with five goals. No surprise the Catamounts are 4-1-1 in their last six contests.

POULIN-LABELLE LEADS CATAMOUNTS OFFENSIVE ATTACK
Senior defenseman Maude Poulin-Labelle leads the Catamounts in scoring with six goals and 11 assists this season for 17 points. Her numbers are boosted by a historic performance at Merrimack on November 21. She recorded the second hat trick of her career. She's the fourth Catamount in program history to record two or more hat tricks in her career. Allie Knowles, Dayna Colang and Ève-Audrey Picard were the other three. With 66 career points in 100 games she's UVM's all-time leader in defensive scoring.

BACK FROM QUALIFYING AND ON A POINT STREAK
In her six games since returning from Olympic qualifying with Austria Theresa Schafzahl has six goals and seven assists for 13 points. She is tied for 13th in league scoring with 10 points despite playing just four league games this season. Her 2.5 points per game in league play is the best in Hockey East.

PK PROWESS
The Catamounts own the nation's 8th ranked penalty kill this season, boasting an 89.7% success rate. Vermont has only allowed four goals while shorthanded this season, and has scored once while on the penalty kill – Natálie Mlýnková against RPI (Oct. 2). The 2018-19 Catamounts finished the season with the nation's top penalty kill at 87.4%. Vermont is one of just nine teams in the country to have allowed four or less goals shorthanded this season.

DISCIPLINE AMONG THE CATAMOUNTS
In addition to the Catamounts excellent penalty kill they have also done a fantastic job staying out of the penalty box. UVM has just 80 PIM this season, an average of 4.71 per game. They are tied with No. 7 Yale for the fewest penalty minutes in the NCAA this season.

KARJALAINEN WITH NATIONAL TEAM THIS WEEKEND
Senior defenseman Sini Karjalainen is away this weekend with the Finnish National Team. As a part of the teams' Olympic preparations a 27-player roster is practicing this week in Vierumäki, Finland ahead of a two-game series with the Czech Republic on December 15 and 17. It is expected that Karjalainen will face her UVM teammates - Natálie Mlynková, Tynka Pátková and Blanka Škodová in those games.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
After starting the 2021-22 campaign winning their first six games the Eagles are just 4-7-0 in their last 11 contests. On the road, this season the Eagles are 6-4. Last weekend Boston College snapped a three-game losing streak sweeping a weekend series at Maine with two overtime wins.

Abby Newhook and Hannah Bilika are tied for the team lead in scoring with 15 points apiece. Newhook also leads the team in scoring with eight goals. Senior goaltender Abigail Levy has seen the majority of game action for the Eagles this season. She's 10-7-0 this season and has made 30 or more saves in 15 games this year.

SERIES HISTORY
Tomorrow afternoon will be the first meeting between the two teams since January 18, 2020, a 2-2 tie in Chestnut Hill. Corrine McCool and Theresa Schafzahl scored for Vermont in that contest. The tie snapped a 25-game winning streak for the Eagles against Vermont. Friday will be the 57th all-time meeting between the Catamounts and Eagles. UVM hasn't defeated BC since November 7, 2010.
