The Catamounts are back in action this weekend as they travel to Orono to face the Maine Black Bears in a conference dual meet. UVM will face the Black Bears at the Stanley M. Wallace Pool beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday.

PARKER LEADS THE WAY AGAINST UNH
Senior
Kira Parker won two individual events for the Catamounts and was a part of UVM's winning 400 free relay team as UVM had a strong performance against the defending America East Champion New Hampshire two weeks ago. Parker won the 100 back and the 100 free for the Catamounts. She won the 100 back with a time of 57.74 and the 100 free with a time of 53.67. It was her second straight meet with a win in the 100 back.

A PAIR OF FIRST CAREER WINS
First years
Madison Supple and
Hally Laney won their first career events on October 23 against the Wildcats. Supple won the 200 fly in a time of 2:11.13 and Laney won the 100 fly in a time of 57.66.

CHURCH GOES TWO-FOR-TWO IN THE 1000
First yearÂ
Ella Church won her second straight 1000 free as a collegian against UNH on October 23. She finished in a time of 10:31.57 in her second time ever competing in the distance. She was 12.08 seconds faster than her nearest competition. She also won the event at Army earlier in the year.
FRESH FACES ON THE POOL DECK
18 of the Catamounts 41 student-athletes this year are first years at the University of Vermont including five divers.

SCOUTING THE BLACK BEARS
Last weekend the Black Bears competed in their first home meet in 720 days as they hosted Maine Maritime. The Black Bears swept all of the action including Kayla Loughman, Morgan Bui, Rebecca Thompson and Aubrey St. Pierre winning two individual events apiece.

Maine finished fifth at the America East Championships last spring. UVM hosted Maine on Senior Day last year, defeating the Black Bears 151-129 at the Forbush Natatorium on March 14.
