WOMEN'S HOCKEY NOTEBOOK
Vermont women's hockey (4-2-0, 2-0-0 HEA) hits the road for the first time this season traveling for another split weekend in Hockey East play. The Catamounts will face Boston University at 6 p.m. on Friday before traveling to UConn on Saturday for a 4 p.m. tilt. Both games will be streamed live for free on CollegeSportsLive.com/hockeyeast.

MLÝNKOVÁ LEADS CATAMOUNTS OFFENSIVE ATTACK
Sophomore forward
Natálie Mlýnková leads the Catamounts in scoring with three goals and four assists this season. She is third on the team with 22 shots this season. She scored the game-winning goal in the third period for Vermont against Merrimack last Sunday.
ŠKODOVÁ NAMED HEA GOALTENDER OF THE WEEK
Škodová made 41 saves last weekend in Vermont's first two league contests of the 2021-22 campaign. She is now 4-2-0 on the season with a 2.05 goals-against average. Against Holy Cross and Merrimack this weekend she maintained a .932 save percentage.
PENALTY KILL RANKED IN THE TOP-10
A hallmark of recent UVM teams has been strong penalty killing and this season has been no different. Vermont is 17-for-18 this season good for 94.1%. It is the seventh highest mark in the NCAA and the best in Hockey East.
SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
Boston University is 4-1-2 this season including an undefeated 3-0-2 mark in Hockey East play. The Terriers got off to their first 3-0-0 start in nine years with league wins over UNH and No. 6 Northeastern.
The Terriers fell 4-2 at RPI last weekend, an opponent UVM swept on the first weekend of the season. BU rebounded the next day with a 4-1 win at Union. Senior forward Courtney Correia leads Hockey East in scoring this season with 11 points. She has a team-high six goals.
SERIES HISTORY
BU is 36-9-7 against the Catamounts all-time. The Terries have won five of the last six meetings in the series, but the Catamounts last win was at Walter Brown Arena, it was a 4-0 decision last season on February 12, 2021.
Tynka Pátková and
Maddy Skelton recorded their first-career multi-point games for Vermont in the win.
Hailey Burns also had two points in the contest.
SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
UConn is undefeated this season with a 7-0-0 mark, including a 3-0-0 record in conference play. The Huskies have won its last three games, all in league play, by a combined score of 9-5. UConn's last two games have come against Merrimack and they will face the Warriors again on Friday night in Storrs. None of UConn's seven wins have come against a team with a current winning record.
Senior forward Viki Harkness leads the team in scoring with five goals and two assists for seven points. Graduate student Natalie Snodgrass also has seven points on three goals and four assists. Senior goaltender Samantha Carpentier-Yelle has started five games this season for UConn including all three league contests. She has a 1.80 goals-against average and a .903 save percentage.
SERIES HISTORY
Vermont and UConn square off for the 48th and 49th time in series history this weekend. The Cats are 13-28-6 overall against the Huskies. Vermont is 2-0-1 in its last four games in Storrs. Last season UVM swept a weekend series at UConn.

Theresa Schafzahl completed a comeback in overtime with a 3-2 win in the second contest.
