KESSEL IN FORM FOR STRETCH RUN
Senior goaltender Lydia Kessel has posted back-to-back-to-back clean sheets for the Catamounts in wins over Maine, NJIT and Hartford. The Catamounts have three straight league win shutouts for the first time since 2005. From September 25 to October 2, 2005 the Catamount shutout Binghamton, UAlbany and Boston University (then an America East school).

Kessel leads America East averaging 6.27 saves-per-game. Kessel's 6.27 mark is good for 21st in the NCAA. Her 69 stops this season ranks 40th in the NCAA and second in America East. Kessel is the only keeper in the league with three conference clean sheets.

BASA AND OVIEDO LEAD AND THE CATAMOUNTS FOLLOW
Cricket Basa and Alyssa Oviedo are tied for the team lead in scoring with 10 points this season, both of them have four goals and two assists. Basa notched game-winning goals against Maine and Hartford in UVM's three-game win streak. Vermont is 5-2-0 this season when one or both of them score.

SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
Thursday evening will be a matchup of two of the hottest teams in America East, UVM has won three straight and the Great Danes are unbeaten in their last five contests going 2-0-3. For UAlbany, that includes handing first place UMass Lowell its first league loss of the season last Sunday 1-0.

First year goalkeeper Cassandra Coster made a career-high 11 saves in UAlbany's win at UMass Lowell. For her efforts, she was named America East Defensive Player of the Week and Co-Rookie of the Week.

Spring 2021 America East Striker of the Year Jasmine Colbert will continue to be a handful for Vermont's backline. She has seven goals and 12 points this season and leads the league in shots taken with 52. She scored five game-winning goals last season including in the Great Danes 2-0 win over UVM.

SERIES HISTORY
The all-time series has been fairly even but the Cats hold a slight 13-12-1 edge. The Green and Gold won seven meetings and only suffered one loss in the first 11 matches. Since 2010, the tide has swung in UAlbany's favor with 10 victories. The two programs have met in the America East Tournament four times in the last 10 seasons. Vermont's last win in the series came in the 2017 America East Quarterfinals, a 2-1 decision at UAlbany. The Great Danes beat UVM 2-0 in the season opener last spring.
