CATS IN THE TOP 40
The Green and Gold rank in the top 40 nationally in the latest NCAA stats rankings. The Catamounts have converted 51.6% of their free position attempts, the 21st-highest mark in Division I. Vermont sits at No. 30 in caused turnovers per game (9.71) and No. 31 in scoring defense (10.71).
HIGH SCORING CATS
The Catamounts have one of the highest scoring offenses in America East. UVM sits second behind Stony Brook with 77 goals, 29 assists, and 106 points.
Ava Vasile has jumped onto the scene as the newcomer has registered 20 goals through seven games. She is the top scoring underclassmen in the conference and ranks second overall behind Stony Brook's Ally Kennedy with 22 goals.
MAKING STOPS
Sophie McLaughlin is one of the top goalies in the conference and the nation. The sophomore has the best goals-against average by an America East netminder at 10.71 and has tallied the 21st-most saves (68) in the country.
SCOUTING KENNESAW STATE
The Owls roll into Wednesday's game with an even 3-3 record and have won two out of their last three games. Kennesaw State is one of the top teams at winning the draw. The Owls have averaged 15.83 draw controls per game, the 16th-best average in Division I. Siena Gore fuels the offensive attack with 26 points on 24 goals and two assists. She has logged three consecutive hat tricks and she is coming off a season-high six-point game against Winthrop on Saturday. Emily Napierala follows with 17 points on six goals and a team-best 11 assists. The senior has been credited with at least one assist in each game this year. Goalie Alex Bunn has earned the starting nod in all six games. She has recorded a 13.43 goals-against average in nearly 322 minutes of action.
A FIRST FOR EVERYTHING
Wednesday will be the first ever meeting between the Owls and Cats. Kennesaw State is the fourth team on UVM's 2020 non-conference docket that results in a first-time matchup. The Cats played Merrimack on Feb. 8 in the season opener, visited Wagner on Feb. 23, then played at Mercer on Sunday.

Sarah Dalton Graddock will select one player to wear Cox's No. 23 jersey. Cox, a 2015 UVM Athletic Hall of Fame inductee, graduated as the all-time leader in points (173) and goals (133).
