CLASS OF 2020
The Catamounts will be honoring four seniors on Saturday. Abby Cleary, Allie Granato, Ali O'Leary, and Ève-Audrey Picard will be skating in their final game at Gutterson Fieldhouse. The quartet of seniors have played a role in 45 wins for Vermont including a postseason run to the Hockey East Semifinals in 2017. The senior class has combined for 56 goals and 150 points over the last four seasons. Kayla Kruk is also in her final season with the Catamounts through Team Impact.

SCOUTING THE BLACK BEARS
Maine enters Saturday's game seventh in the Hockey East standings – one point behind sixth-place New Hampshire. The Black Bear power play is one of the top units in the country with a 19.8% success rate that ranks seventh.

Offensively, they are led by rookie Ida Kuoppala and senior Tereza Vanisova with 29 points each. Kuoppala is second in rookie scoring in Hockey East and ranks fourth among the nation's freshmen. Vanisova has posted 127 points in 125 career games.

Carly Jackson is the usual netminder for the Black Bears with a .930 save percentage and 1.97 goals against average in 26 starts. The goaltender has played the most minutes (1641:53) by any Hockey East goalie this season.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Saturday's game will be the 56th meeting between Vermont and Maine. The Catamounts have a 19-27-9 record in the all-time series, but own a 5-3-2 mark in the last 10 contests. UVM has taken both meetings this season with a pair of 3-2 victories in Orono. Corinne McCool netted game-winning goals in both contests to earn Hockey East Player of the Week. Kristina Shanahan also scored twice in the two-game road series.

SHANAHAN vs. MAINE
Kristina Shanahan has racked up seven points in her last five games against the Black Bears. The junior has points in four straight meetings with Maine, including a career-high three assists in the most recent meeting at Gutterson Fieldhouse. In last year's playoff-clinching game, Shanahan had assists on both goals to help the Catamounts earn a bid in the postseason.

RECORD WATCH
Ève-Audrey Picard is only one assist away from tying the all-time record at UVM (56) held by Amanda Pelkey '15. The senior sits in solo second with 55 career helpers and is currently in a three-way tie for the second-most career points (97) at UVM.

HOCKEY EAST QUARTERFINAL SCHEDULE
Eighth-seeded Vermont will be traveling to top-seeded Northeastern for the Hockey East Quarterfinals. It is the second consecutive season that the Catamounts and Huskies clash in the first round of the conference playoffs. The best-of-three series kicks off at Matthews Arena on Thursday (Feb. 27) at 1 p.m. Game 2 is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday (Feb. 28), followed by Game 3 if necessary on Saturday (Feb. 29) at 7 p.m.
