SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
Boston University enters Friday's game after suffering a 2-1 loss to third-ranked Northeastern on Tuesday (Jan. 28). Deziray De Sousa scored the lone goal for BU who took the initial lead in the first period, but gave up two shorthanded goals in the middle frame.

The Terriers are among the nation's best on the power play with a success rate of 25.8% that ranks fourth. Sammy Davis paces the BU offense in goals (11), assists (18), and points (29). Jesse Compher has 19 points (7 goals, 12 assists) in 17 games this season and was a unanimous Hockey East First Team All-Star a season ago.

Goaltender Corinne Schoeder's save percentage (.939) and goals against average (1.58) rank second in Hockey East and sixth in the nation.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Friday marks the 51st all-time meeting between the Cats and the Terriers. Vermont and Boston University met earlier this season with a two-game series up in Burlington. Ali O'Leary tied the first game (Nov. 23) with 6:29 left in regulation, but Nara Elia clinched the 3-2 overtime victory for BU. Theresa Schafzahl opened the scoring just six seconds in to the contest the following day for the fastest goal in program history, but Vermont fell 5-1.

SCOUTING THE CRUSADERS
Holy Cross begins the weekend with a trip to Boston College before heading up to Burlington. The Crusaders are in the midst of a four-game losing streak after eking out a 0-0 tie at Maine (Jan. 11). Holy Cross swept the season series with three wins over Merrimack.

Rachel Moore leads the HC offense with 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists) this season. Antonia Matzka and Mary Edmonds also have a team-high three goals.

Jada Brenon has 23 starts in net this season with a .914 save percentage and a 3.22 goals against average. The sophomore has posted two shutouts.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Sunday afternoon's contest is the fifth official meeting between Vermont and Holy Cross. The programs first met unofficially in 1998 when Vermont took an 11-0 exhibition victory. UVM won the first official meeting 2-0 in 2001. Last season, the Catamounts swept the Crusaders with a 2-1 win down in Worcester, followed by wins of 3-0 and 4-1 at Gutterson Fieldhouse.

The goal is to break the Hockey East attendance record, which was set by Vermont on Feb. 3, 2017 in the fourth annual Pack the Gut challenge. All tickets are on sale for $2. Presented by The Windjammer and Upper Deck Pub, this year's push to break the record will benefit Kayla's Directory.
