Theresa Schafzahl scored two unanswered goals as Vermont (9-10-6, 6-8-4 HEAW) rallied back to force a 2-2 tie with Boston College (12-9-3, 11-7-2 HEAW) on Saturday at Conte Forum.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Blanka Škodová (21 saves) made 11 stops in the opening 20 minutes. The sophomore denied a flurry of shots by the Eagles early in the frame.
- BC took a 1-0 lead with 12:43 left in the first period on Delaney Belinskas' 13th goal of the season. Hannah Bilka dished a pass to Belinskas who snuck a backhander into the back of the UVM net. Cayla Barnes had the secondary assist.
- Belinskas doubled the Eagles' lead early in the second period with a goal on the rush. Kelly Browne assisted on the goal, which came 5:36 in to the middle frame.
- Vermont cut the lead in half with 2:40 left in the second stanza on McCool's team-leading 12th goal of the season. Lily Humphrey fired a shot that tested Maddy McArthur (30 saves) and McCool cleaned up the rebound. Ellice Murphy was credited with the secondary assist.
- UVM outshot BC 9-3 in the third period and tied the game with 13:41 left in regulation. Ève-Audrey Picard poked the puck through to Schafzahl in the slot where she wired a wrist shot past McArthur. Murphy registered her second assist of the night on the tying goal.
- Vermont tallied five shots in the extra frame, which included a late power-play opportunity. Sini Karjalainen directed the puck towards the BC net and Lily Humphrey redirected it to test McArthur.
NOTES
- Schafzahl registered her fourth goal and eighth point of the 2020 calendar year. She currently leads the conference in January scoring. The Weiz, Austria native has also recorded a point in five consecutive games.
