RALLY AGAINST CANCER PRESENTED BY INSPIRED CLOSETS
Saturday's match is Vermont's annual Rally Against Cancer Game presented by Inspired Closets. The Catamounts will be wearing special lavender socks, the universal color of rallying around all cancers, to show their support. Fans are encouraged to wear lavender in support of the efforts being made at the University of Vermont Cancer Center.

TOBINSKI DOES IT AGAIN
For the second time in three weeks, freshman forward Rasmus Tobinski earned America East Rookie of the Week honors on Monday. He scored two goals and helped the Cats beat Quinnipiac and Harvard. The Kiel, Germany native netted the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over the Bobcats last Monday – UVM's first ever win against Quinnipiac. He followed up with a goal in the 61st minute of Vermont's 4-2 win versus Harvard last Friday.

SCOUTING MERRIMACK
The Warriors are in the midst of their first season as a Division I program. Merrimack won its first two contests at Northeastern (W, 2-1) and Boston U (W, 3-0) but have dropped their last two to Rhode Island (L, 2-1) and UMass Lowell (L, 1-0). Head coach Tony Martone is serving his 38th season at the helm and ended his Division II tenure at No. 16 on the NCAA career victories list at 392. Merrimack has returned four of its top five scorers from 2018 including Tola Showunmi. Last year, he matched a team-best with 15 points and seven goals as a rookie. The Warriors have continued the newcomer scoring pipeline this season as freshman Marc Torrellas leads the way with two goals. In net, graduate student Lucas Rezende boasts a 0.96 goals-against average and a .754 save percentage through four games.

DOW VS. THE WARRIORS
Even though Saturday is the first meeting between the Cats and Warriors, head coach Rob Dow has faced Merrimack four times in his career. Dow was an assistant coach at Southern New Hampshire from 2008-11 as the Penmen were Northeast 10 rivals with the Warriors. In the four matchups, SNHU won the first two contests in 2008 (W, 2-1) and 2009 (W, 3-1) but stumbled in the final two games in 2010 (L, 1-0) and 2011 (L, 3-2).
