SCOUTING THE BLACK BEARS
Maine enters its first conference matchup with a 0-1 record after opening the 2019-20 season with a loss to Rhode Island. The Rams took a 164-136 victory over the Black Bears at Stanley M. Wallace Pool in Orono, Maine.

Maine finished the 2019 America East Championships one spot behind Vermont in fourth, tallying 465.5 points over the four-day meet. Vermont totaled 510 points to take third for the seventh straight season.

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts hold a 15-3 edge over the Black Bears over the past 18 seasons. Maine's lone victories over Vermont came in three consecutive seasons, 2002-04.

In last year's road victory, Vermont saw eight individual swimmers win a total of nine events en route to a 168-129 win over Maine.
WHO'S NEXT
The Catamounts remain at Forbush Natatorium each of the next two weekends to host familiar foes. Stony Brook makes the trip to Burlington for a meet next Saturday (Nov. 9) and Bryant comes to town on Saturday (Nov. 16). Both meets are set to begin at 11 a.m. and will stream through CatamounTV.
