PLAYOFF BOUND
With Saturday's 2-1 comeback win over UMass Lowell, the Catamounts clinched a berth in the upcoming America East Tournament for 10th consecutive season. UVM is the lone America East team to earn a trip to the conference tournament each year since 2010.
ON THE VERGE
Vermont is on the verge of notching its fifth straight season with 10-plus wins, which would extend the second-longest streak in school history. The Green and Gold racked up double-digit wins from 1986-93 and won two America East titles. Like their conference tournament streak, the Cats own the longest active streak with at least 10 victories in the league.
NON-CONFERENCE RECAP
The Catamounts will play their 10th and final non-conference opponent of the year. The non-league docket has included wins over DePaul, Quinnipiac, Harvard, Merrimack, and Dartmouth with four clean sheets.
SCOUTING HOLY CROSS
The Crusaders will also wrap up non-conference play on Tuesday night. Holy Cross has won twice in their last four matches but has yet to reach the win column at home (0-7). Max Krause has guided the team with a balanced attack on four goals and four assists. The junior midfielder has registered five points in his last five games. Dylan Scanley follows with 12 points and has netted a team-high five goals. The 6-0 sophomore has found the back of the net four times in his last four outings. In goal, Bobby Hurstak has stopped 45 shots in 1,275 minutes of action.
INSIDE THE SERIES
The regional foes will revisit the series for the first time since 2004 and the Cats will make their first trip to Worcester since 1997. Vermont has a slight 4-2 edge over Holy Cross in the all-time series and has won two out of the last three meetings.
