COACH'S QUOTE
"Two good teams competed today and discipline was the deciding factor in the match," head coach
Rob Dow said. "Our team will learn a lot from the game and we hope to bounce back against Siena."
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Camara scored his first collegiate goal in the 12th minute. The freshman and Geo Alves worked a give-and-go from the top of the box and Camara finished with a strike into the right side of the net.
- The Raiders tied the game in the 33rd minute. Oliver Harris sent a long feed from beyond midfield and Ryan Bellavance collected the pass in the box. After holding off a defender, Bellavance lined the equalizer inside of the near post.
- Colgate grabbed a late 2-1 lead three minutes later from Uyi Omorogbe. The junior won a 50-50 ball in the box and bounced the go-ahead score into the right side of the net.
- In the 59th minute, Jonathan Bryant came up with a clutch defensive save. The Raiders were on the attack when Omorogbe was close to scoring his second goal of the afternoon but Bryant used his body to deflect the shot on the goal line.
- In the final minute, the Catamounts rushed to find the late equalizer. Adrian Gahakba launched a pass into the box and Alves tried to sneak a header inside of the near post but the attempt was too wide.
