SCOUTING MONTANA
The Grizzlies have struggled out the gate with a 0-3 mark and have been on the unfortunate end of two clean sheets against Fresno State and San Francisco. Coming into the season, Montana was picked to finish third in the Big Sky Preseason Coaches' Poll and received one first-place vote. The Grizzlies return their top scorer from last year in Alexa Coyle. As a freshman, Coyle tallied 10 points on four goals and two assists last season. Goalie Claire Howard has recorded a 2.00 goals-against average and stopped 14 shot attempts in three games this year.
SCOUTING IDAHO
The Vandals are coming off a 3-1 win over Grambling State last Friday, which snapped a two-game skid to begin the season. Idaho has used a balanced scoring attack in the early going as three different players have scored a goal. Morgan Crosby leads the way with five points on two goals and one assist, including a two-goal effort against Grambling State. Kayla Watanabe and Savannah Foster follow with one goal apiece. In three games between the pipes, Makayla Presgrave has logged a 1.34 goals-against average and made 15 saves.
FIRST FOR EVERYTHING
Vermont will square off with both Montana and Idaho for the first time in school history.
