2018 CAPTAINS
The senior trio of
Casey Garfinkel,
Brooke Jenkins, and
Savana Yurick will serve as team captains for the 2018 campaign. Jenkins, an America East All-Conference Second Team selection last year, led the team with 16 points on seven goals and two assists. Garfinkel played in all 20 games and helped UVM post six clean sheets for the second straight season. Yurick was among Vermont's top scorers a year ago with eight points on three goals and two assists, including two game-winning scores.
AMERICA EAST PRESEASON RANKINGS
UVM was picked to finish sixth in the 2018 America East Preseason Coaches' Poll. The Catamounts landed in sixth place with 34 total points, only two points behind UAlbany in fifth place. New Hampshire was voted as the preseason favorite with 57 points and earned four first-place votes. Defending America East champion Stony Brook followed in second place with 54 points and three first-place tallies.
2018 DOCKET
Vermont's 17-game regular season schedule will feature opponents from seven different conferences spanning across 11 states. During non-conference play, the Cats will host American, St. Mary's, Marist, Bryant and Siena. In addition, conference rivals Binghamton, Hartford, UMBC, and UMass Lowell will visit Virtue Field.
UVM NEWCOMERS
Vermont has welcomed 11 new Catamounts for the 2018 campaign -
Natalie Durieux,
Eliza Green,
Payton Humphrey,
Lydia Kessel,
Casey McIlhenny,

Alyssa Oviedo,
Dmi Petrusha,

2017 CINDERELLA RUN
The Catamounts are coming off their first-ever trip to the America East Championship Game. On the last day of the 2017 regular season, UVM clinched a berth in the conference tournament with a 2-1 win over Stony Brook and got some help with a loss by Maine. The Cats made it through the quarterfinal and semifinal rounds of the tournament thanks to late-game heroics from
Brooke Jenkins, who scored a game-winning goal in each contest.
CAREER WINS LIST
After the deep run through last year's America East Tournament, head coach
Kristi Huizenga moved into sole possession of second place on the school's all-time career wins list. Huizenga enters her eighth season at the helm with 42 victories at UVM.
BERNARD ELEVATED
Last month, third-year assistant coach
Lauren Bernard was elevated to the position of top assistant coach. In her two years, the Catamounts have reached the conference semifinals and title game in consecutive seasons for the first time ever.
