POSTER DAY UPDATE
Vermont's gameday promotion of Poster Day, presented by UVM Print and Mail, has been moved to the Hartford game on Saturday, April 21. The contest with the Hawks next month will also be UVM's annual 'Rally Against Cancer' game, presented by Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets.
ROAD TRIP RECAP
The Catamounts will return to their home turf for the first time since March 3 after spending the last four games on the road. The trip started with setbacks at Holy Cross and Jacksonville before Vermont rebounded with victories at Stetson and Sacred Heart.
PROVIDING SOME ASSIST-ANCE
With her four-assist performance at Sacred Heart, Bernier moved into fourth place on the program's all-time assists list. She has handed out 51 career assists and became only the fourth player in school history to register at least 50 assists.
SCOUTING BINGHAMTON
The Bearcats started strong out of the gate with three wins in their first four games, but have struggled of late with four straight losses. In the America East Preseason Coaches' Poll, Binghamton landed in a fifth-place tie with Vermont and earned 22 points in the preseason rankings. Jacqueline Kennedy leads the team with 20 points on 18 goals and a pair of assists. The senior midfielder's 18 goals rank among the top-10 on the league's scoring list. Rebecca Golderman follows with 19 points on 14 goals and a team-high five assists. She has won the fifth-most draw controls (28) in the conference. Between the pipes, Taylor Passuello has surrendered the fourth-fewest goals (45) by an America East goalie and has recorded a 10.63 goals-against average.
INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts have controlled the all-time series between the conference rivals and hold an 11-5 edge over the Bearcats. The Green and Gold won eight of the first nine meetings but have dropped the last two contests against Binghamton. Last year, UVM opened America East play in Vestal and mounted a second half comeback, but fell short 14-9.
WHO'S NEXT
Vermont will travel to top-ranked Stony Brook on Friday (March 30) in the first road test of the conference season. The opening draw is set for 7 p.m. Free live video will be available at
