DELAND, Fla. - Four different players registered hat tricks for the Catamounts on Wednesday afternoon, powering Vermont to a 17-10 non-conference road win against Stetson. UVM snaps a brief three-game skid and improves to 3-5, while the Hatters drop to 1-6.

Bailey Saneman also picked up hat tricks as Vermont closed a two-game swing in Florida with seven players posting multi-point efforts.Â
Maddy Kuras collected the victory between the pipes, stopping 11 shots and making several key saves down the stretch to preserve the win. The Cats scored 15 goals on her counterpart Liza Diamond, a multiple A-SUN Defensive Player of the Week Award winner this season.Â
Saneman opened the scoring 45 seconds into the contest off a feed from
Alex Vignona, and Bolt doubled the lead just inside six minutes from
Elise Koehl.
After trading a pair of goals with the Hatters, the Catamounts responded with three straight tallies in the span of 1:57 for a 7-2 advantage. Janes dodged around a pair of Stetson defenders to bury her second of the afternoon in the middle of the run.Â
Vermont closed the first half with two goals in 36 seconds. Janes sent a pass to the back door for Bernier on the first, and the second barely beat the buzzer as
Ali Korin's shot gave UVM an 11-6 halftime cushion as time expired.
UVM began the second stanza with three consecutive goals for a 5-0 combined run and stretched the lead as high as eight at 14-6 and 15-7. Bernier capped her hat trick nine minutes into the second half, while Bolt collected her third with 7:45 remaining while also contributing five draw controls to tie a game-high.Â
With just 26 seconds left, a man-down goal from Saneman gave the Cats four hat tricks in the victory. UVM has now scored at least 17 goals in all three of its wins this season.Â
With the victory, the Cats Win, Community Wins campaign and Vermont Mutual Insurance Group will donate another $100 to the Boys and Girls Club of Burlington, bringing this season's total to 110 wins and $11,000.
Vermont will fly back to New England to play the final leg of its four-game road trip at Sacred Heart next Wednesday (March 21). The opening draw is set for 2 p.m. in Connecticut between the Catamounts and Pioneers.
