SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Julia DeGregorio won both the 100 and 200-yard butterfly events for the second straight meet, but the Vermont Catamounts (4-3) fell to the Bryant Bulldogs (5-1) Sunday in Smithfield.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Kristina Posnick won the 1,000 free with a time of 10:53.99. Sophia Smith followed in second with a mark of 11:02.91. Smith also took second in the 200 free with a time of 1:58.99.
- Smith (5:20.46), Madelyn Kovacs (5:21.12), and Posnick (5:21.74) combined to sweep the 500 free.
- DeGregorio won both the 100 fly (1:00.38) and the 200 fly (2:13.27).
- Haley Gula (2:28.23) took the top spot in the 200 breaststroke. She finished third in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:09.29.
- Morgan Montgomery (2:14.68) took first in the 200 IM to round out the Catamount first place finishes.

Vermont has two weekends off before competing in WPI's three-day Gompei Invittional, beginning on Friday, Nov. 30 in Worcester, Massachusetts.
