ALBANY, N.Y. – The UVM men's soccer team suffered a 3-1 setback at UAlbany on Friday night in a rematch of last year's America East Semifinal. The Catamounts drop their overall record to 9-5 and even their conference mark to 2-2. The Great Danes improve to 5-8 on the season and 1-3 in league play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Great Danes jumped out in front in the 29th minute with a penalty kick goal. After the Cats were called for a hand ball in the box, Nico Solabarrieta netted the ensuing penalty kick for his ninth goal of the season.
- The Catamounts found the equalizer in the 39th minute from the foot of Geo Alves. The senior forward finished a cross from Jon Arnar Barðdal inside of the box.
- In the 64th minute, Alves tried to give UVM the lead after breaking through two defenders but his shot sailed too high.
- UAlbany took a 2-1 lead five minutes later when Daniel Krutzen and Gino Rossi worked a give-and-go. Rossi sent a through ball deep into the left side of the box and Krutzen finished the scoring chance with a line drive that bounced off a UVM defender.
- The Great Danes tacked on the final goal of the evening in the 87th minute. Solabarrieta held off a defender on the left edge of the box and passed back out top to Carlos Clark, who hooked a low shot into the right side of the net.
