SETTING THE SCENE
The Catamounts hit the road for the fourth time this season and look to continue their hot start in Connecticut this weekend. UVM owns the second-highest scoring offense in America East with 26 points on 10 goals and six assists. The Green and Gold have a trio on the league's top scoring list – Sarah Martin ranks third with eight points (2 goals, 4 assists) while Brooke Jenkins is right behind her in fourth place with seven points (3 goals, 1 assist). Savana Yurick follows in seventh place with four points on a pair of goals. UVM netminder Coco Speckmaier sits second in the conference with a .854 save percentage and possesses the fourth-lowest goals-against average at 0.99 among America East goalies.

LAST TIME OUT | Marist Highlights
UVM kept its unblemished home record intact on Tuesday night with a 1-1 draw against Marist. The Red Foxes jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the third minute when Annika Nielson sent a line drive cross from the right side of the box in front of the net to Erica Crosier, who tapped a one-timer into the top right corner of the net. In the 72nd minute, Jenkins came through with the equalizer and her third goal of the season. Martin took a free kick from about 40 yards out and lofted a deep ball into the box where Jenkins jumped and knocked a header into the right side of the net for the game-tying score.

WORKING OVERTIME
In five straight contests, the Catamounts have needed at least one overtime period to determine the outcome and the Green and Gold are 3-1-1 during the span. The five-game stretch with at least one overtime session has set a single-season record. Coming into the season, the longest stretch of consecutive overtime games was three – set by the 2001 and 1998 Cats.

SPECK-TACULAR SAVE
In back-to-back games, Speckmaier has held a share or set the America East benchmark for the most saves in a single game this season. In last Sunday's 1-0 double overtime victory at American, the senior matched Hartford's Maia Perez with 10 saves in the contest. In Tuesday's draw with Marist, the Miami, Florida native surpassed her own season-high with 12 saves to top the list among conference goalies.

SCOUTING CCSU
CCSU had high hopes coming into the season after finishing the 2016 campaign as Northeast Conference regular season co-champions and then getting picked to finish second in this year's preseason coaches' poll. The Blue Devils reached the win column in their first two games at UMass (W, 3-0) on Aug. 19 and Rhode Island (W, 1-0) on Aug. 24, but have slipped into a four-game skid. Freshman midfielder Jenna Rae Covello leads the team with a pair of goals while Danielle Pearse and Jennifer Cafferky follow with one goal apiece. Despite the 2-4 record, CCSU has surrendered the third-fewest goals (9) compared to its conference foes. Junior Keeper Ashley Cavanaugh ranks fifth in the league with a 1.33 goals-against average and she sits sixth among NEC goalies with 23 saves.

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts and Blue Devils will meet for the ninth time in the head-to-head series. Vermont is unbeaten against CCSU with a commanding 6-0-2 record. Friday night's match will be the first game between the two programs in New Britain, Connecticut since 2003 as the last five games have been hosted in Burlington. Last year, the Cats silenced the Blue Devils 2-0 after Jenkins and Julia Smith notched goals for UVM.

WHO'S NEXT
Vermont closes out non-conference play at Bryant on Friday, Sept. 22. Action gets underway at 3 p.m. Free live video will be available at NECFrontRow.com.
