Maddy Kuras set a new career-high with 18 saves. Denver used a double hat trick from Julia Feiss to pick up the victory. Elizabeth Behrins added a hat trick for the Pioneers as seven different players found the back of the net. Goalie Maddy Stevenson stopped five attempts in goal.
COACHING CONNECTION
First-year Vermont assistant coach Jess Drummond will square off against her alma mater on Friday. Drummond and her twin sister Jana were four-year letterwinners for the Oregon Ducks from 2009-12. The Drummond tandem are tied for fifth on Oregon's career caused turnovers list (61). Jana set Oregon's all-time career goals record with 146 goals and Jess ranks fourth in school history with 130 career draw controls.Â
SCOUTING OREGON
The Ducks enter Friday's matchup with a 5-2 record and have won three of their last four games. Shannon Williams leads the team with 30 points on 20 goals and 10 assists, while Mariah Gatti has also netted 20 goals. Cambi Cukar has tallied a team-high 17 assists on the season. Becca Katzen has started all seven games in net with a 10.15 goals against average and a .357 save percentage. First-year head coach Katrina Dowd came to Oregon after four seasons at North Carolina as the offensive coordinator, helping lead the Tar Heels the their first NCAA title in 2013 and a second title in 2016.Â

SERIES HISTORY
Friday marks the seventh all-time meeting of the series between the schools. Vermont has split its last two meetings with Oregon, including a 11-9 victory at home in 2011. The last matchup took place in Eugene, Oregon in 2013 and resulted in a 14-13 triple overtime win for the Ducks. Friday is the first-ever neutral site meeting of the series.Â
