SETTING THE SCENE
The Catamounts search for their first win of the
Sarah Dalton era on Sunday.
Alison Bolt leads the team with 20 points and ranks top-15 nationally in assists with 11. Bolt also paces the squad in draw controls (17) and caused turnovers (13).
Brynne Yarranton has scored a team-high 12 goals, while
Meredith Moore has chipped in 10 goals and eight assists.
Maddy Kuras has started all seven games in net with a total of 56 saves on the year.

The Catamounts have recorded a hat trick in back-to-back games and a total of four times this season. The hat tricks have come from four different players –
Meredith Moore (vs. Holy Cross),
Brynne Yarranton (at Bryant),
Alison Bolt (at Colgate), and
Jenna Janes (at Louisville).
LAST TIME OUT | Holy Cross Highlights
The Catamounts could not contain a strong second-half offensive attack by Holy Cross on Tuesday afternoon. Despite being within striking distance in the first half, Vermont fell 14-5 in non-conference action at Virtue Field. Moore notched her first hat trick of the season on four shot attempts.
Elena McWright and
Bailey Saneman added one goal apiece for the Cats.
Alison Bolt recorded two assists and
Catherine Green came off the bench to save six shots in goal in the non-conference matchup.
SCOUTING DENVER
The Pioneers come into the weekend with a 5-1 record and ranked No. 16 in the IWLCA Coaches' Poll. Denver had its five-game winning streak to start the season snapped last Friday with a 14-3 loss to No. 14 Colorado. The Pioneers are holding their opponents to 8.67 goals per game for the 16th-best scoring defense in the country. The Pioneers have three players with at least 12 goals – Elizabeth Behrins (15), Kendra Lanuza (14), and Julia Feiss (12).
SERIES HISTORY
Sunday will mark the fourth meeting between the Pioneers and Catamounts and first since 2013. Denver leads the all-time series 2-1 with both victories coming away from its home turf. The Pioneers edged the Cats 19-17 in overtime back in 2003 and held on for a 13-8 win in Burlington back in 2011. Vermont won the 2011 contest 10-6 in the Mile High City.
