SETTING THE SCENE
The Catamounts are looking to clinch their sixth outright America East Regular Season title with a win on Wednesday night. UVM would clinch the No. 1 seed and home court advantage in the upcoming America East Tournament. With one more victory, the 2016-17 team would tie the single-season record for most wins (25) – set by the 2004-05, 2006-07, and 2009-10 teams. Vermont's 16-game winning streak is the second-longest active streak in the country behind top-ranked Gonzaga's 28-game streak. The Cats, 'Zags, and Princeton are the only remaining teams in the country with an undefeated conference record.

RALLY AROUND MENTAL HEALTH | America East SAAC Video
The Catamounts will be wearing "Rally Around Mental Health" warm-up shirts in support of Mental Health Awareness. The effort was spearheaded by Trae Bell-Haynes and Kelly Lennon from the UVM swimming and diving team. Lennon will also be speaking during a break in the game action. A table will be available in the lobby for more information.

SEVENTH TIME'S THE CHARM
Anthony Lamb was named America East Rookie of the Week for the seventh time on Monday. In an 87-66 win at UMass Lowell last Wednesday, Lamb netted a team-high 24 points on 8-of-11 shooting and 4-of-5 from long distance. He added three rebounds and made all four trips to the charity stripe. Lamb becomes the first Catamount to ever collect seven America East Rookie of the Week awards. The 24-point outing was his third 20-point performance in the last five games. The 6-6 big man has shot 8-of-9 from three-point land in the last four games with an attempt.

RECOGNIZING THE CATS
For the third straight week, the Cats received a vote in the Associated Press Top-25 Poll. Vermont cracked the top-10 in a pair of mid-major power rankings. UVM was near the top-five in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major Top-25 in the No. 6 spot and the green and gold came in at No. 8 in the MidMajorMadness.com Power Rankings.

LAST TIME OUT | UMass Lowell Highlights
Vermont rolled to an 87-66 America East win at UMass Lowell last Wednesday (Feb. 15) to set a new program record with its 16th consecutive overall and 14th straight conference victory. With the win, Vermont clinched at least a share of the America East Regular Season title. Lamb posted a team-high 24 points on 8-of-11 shooting with a career-high four three-pointers. Bell-Haynes had a strong all-around game with 18 points, five rebounds, five assists, and three steals. Kurt Steidl and Payton Henson added 11 points apiece and combined for 11 rebounds. Steidl also became the first UVM player to record 1,000 points, 500 points, and 200 three-pointers in a career.

SCOUTING ALBANY
The Great Danes ride into Wednesday night on a four-game winning streak and have won six of their last seven games overall. Albany is one of the top rebounding teams in both America East and the nation. In conference play, the Great Danes hold the best rebounding margin at +5.7 and hold the 13th-highest overall rebounding margin (+7.7) in Division I. David Nichols leads the league's top underclassmen with 18.4 points per game in conference play. Joe Cremo follows as the 12th-best scorer in league play at 15.5 points per game. Cremo has dished out 3.8 assists per game on conference rivals - the best average among underclassmen.

SERIES HISTORY
The win in the Empire State last month snapped a five-game skid against the Great Danes. Vermont leads the all-times series with Albany 25-16 but the Great Danes have won six of the last nine games. The two teams have combined for 10 America East championships and are two of four America East teams to win three straight tournament titles (Northeastern, '84-'87; Drexel, '94-'96).
