UNION RECAP |Â CatamounTV Highlights
Ève-Audrey Picard set a new varsity single-game record with four goals and recorded her first career hat trick on Tuesday night, leading UVM to a convincing 7-0 non-conference win over Union College at Gutterson Fieldhouse. It marked Vermont's 21st straight win against Union to retain its undefeated record in the series.Â
Alyssa Gorecki closed the night with a goal and two assists, whileÂ
Melissa Black stopped all 10 shots she faced for her first NCAA shutout.
Kristina Shanahan also netted her first career goal as five Catamounts posted multi-point games.Â
FOUR SCORE
Picard entered the record book on Tuesday, collecting just the second four-goal game in school history. The only other four-goal performance by a Catamount was posted by Jen Bradley in 1995 against Boston University before the program was elevated to varisty status. Picard registered her third career multi-goal game on Tuesday and now has a combined six markers against Union over the last two years. She is currently tied for second nationally in goals. As a team on Tuesday, the Catamounts were two away from the single-game record for goals, which was set in 1999 against Union.Â

SCOUTING QUINNIPIAC
Quinnipiac began the season ranked ninth in the polls but has split weekend series against Hockey East schools Maine and Providence to begin the season. Sophomores Abby Cleary and Sarah-Ève Coutu-Godbout have each recorded a pair goals for the Bobcats early on. Abbie Ives has started three of four games in net with a 1.47 goals against average and a .940 save percentage with one shutout. Last year, the Bobcats finished 21-10-6 (13-6-3 ECAC) but fell to Princeton in the decisive Game 3 of the ECAC Quarterfinals. Brown graduate Cassandra Turner is in her third year as the head coach in Hamden.

SERIES HISTORY
This weekend will mark the seventh and eighth meetings of the all-time series, which Quinnipiac leads 3-2-1. The teams haven't faced one another since November of 2008, a 3-1 road win for the Catamounts. UVM's only other trip to Hamden came during a 3-2 loss in 2004.
