LUTHERVILLE, Md. – The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers out scored the Vermont Catamounts 10-5 in the second half to post a 15-10 victory in a non-conference, neutral site game at Maryvale Prep in Lutherville, Maryland on Monday.

Coastal Carolina improves to 10-6 overall, while Vermont falls to 6-9 on the year. This was the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
Jenna Janes, the America East Rookie of the Week, paced the Vermont attack with five points, including four goals.
Brynne Yarranton added a hat trick for the Catamounts.
Sara Nolan led Coastal Carolina with four goals and Sophie Crother chipped in three tallies.
Yarranton scored twice in the first 15 minutes of the game to help the Catamounts jump out to a 4-1 lead. The Chanticleers responded with four consecutive tallies to take a 5-4 lead with 4:16 left in the half. Yarranton's third tally of the afternoon evened the score up at the 2:58 mark and the teams headed into halftime knotted at 5-5.
Coastal Carolina opened up a six goal lead in the second half. The Chanticleers scored eight of the game's 10 goals in the first 16 minutes of the stanza to pull away from the Catamounts.
UVM scored three times over the final 11 minutes, but could only get within four the rest of the way.
Maddy Kuras was credited with 14 saves in the Vermont net, while Jenna Stover made six stops for Coastal Carolina.
Vermont closes out the regular season hosting Binghamton on Saturday (April 30) at 3 p.m. in a lacrosse doubleheader at Virtue Field. The UVM men's team also hosts Binghamton at 7 p.m. Saturday marks Senior Day for both programs and both teams will honor their senior classes in pregame ceremonies.

The University of Vermont Athletic Department will be hosting a Fan Appreciation Day, rain or shine, on Saturday, April 30 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Virtue Field. Join us as we thank you the fans for your support of Vermont Athletics this year.

RALLY AGAINST CANCER
Saturday the final Rally Against Cancer event of the season presented by Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets. The Catamounts will be wearing special pink arm bands and socks to show support for the work being done at the University of Vermont Cancer Center. There will be a table with representatives from the UVM Cancer Center as well as Otter Creek Awnings and Vermont Custom Closets with more information on the Rally Against Cancer games and donations can be made.
