BURLINGTON, Vt. – Meredith Moore tallied a career-high seven points and
Alex Bernier matched her career high with five points to lead the Vermont Catamounts to an 11-5 win over visiting Manhattan in women's lacrosse action at Virtue Field on Wednesday.

Moore netted her third career hat trick to lead UVM in scoring and added four assists. Bernier handed out three helpers and moved into the top-10 all-time assist leaders in program history. She also netted a pair of goals. A total of seven different Catamounts scored in a balanced offensive attack.
Five different players scored for the Jaspers.
Manhattan took 1-0 lead to start the game, but Vermont held the Jaspers scoreless for the remainder of the half. UVM netted four straight goals, including a pair by Moore, to take a 4-1 lead into halftime.
The Jaspers opened the second half with a pair of goals to slice the lead to one, but Vermont would score three of the next four goals to push its lead to three, 7-4, with 18:12 left in the contest.
An 8-meter shot by Molly Fitzpatrick with 16:10 remaining allowed the Jaspers to close within two of the Catamounts, but UVM scored four unanswered goals to close out the game and earn the win.
Catherine Green picked up her first career in her first career start win with eight saves for the Catamounts. Nikki Prestiano was credited with nine stops for Manhattan.
